MIRAE'S CHOICE/FUTURE CHOICE/MARRY HIM IF YOU DARE FINALE

Well, finally. The final episode of the most disappointing drama of 2013 finally aired yesterday and what can I say? This drama started so well but went totally off course somewhere beyond episode 4. It had a potential plot at the beginning but the screenwriter just had to destroy the storyline for us. Am I disappointed? Yes, very disappointed.
Well, the only good thing about this drama is the open-ending because there's no way the writer could have convinced me to ship Mirae with either Sejoo or Shin. So leave me to believe she ended up with neither but some random guy, like the junior VJ? This is because the writer somehow made the two male leads into douche-bags; Shin at the beginning, Sejoo towards the end.
The most annoying thing about this mess is the wasted characters. From Lee Dong-Gun to Yoon Eun-Hye to Jong Yong-Hwa (well at least he tried here). This is why I keep saying "even good actors and actresses can't save a terrible script".
I'm yet to see Lee Dong-Gun in any other role besides Mirae's Choice except in Big Bang's Last Farewell/Baby Music Video. I heard he was on hiatus for about 4 years due to his brother's death from suicide. This is supposed to be his comeback drama but unfortunately he picked this one. I heard he's a more than decent actor though.
On the other hand, I've seen Yoon Eun-Hye in a couple of dramas including "Lie to me" and "Personal Taste" opposite Lee Minho. She's a good actress I think but usually falls for bad scripts. I'm still in the process of reading recaps on "Coffe Prince" before I give my final verdict about her. As for Jong Yong Hwa, he just moved up from terrible actor to decent actor with this drama in my list but unfortunately, he also chose this script. It's not entirely his fault though, it's mainly his agency's, that is, FNC Entertainment which also houses Lee Dong-Gun.
In summary, Mirae ended up not having any choice in "Mirae's Choice". What an irony.

I'll post some funny replies from Dramabeans.

 "lol at all this
So the writer really dragged that nonsensical love triangle until the very last minute, as if it wasn’t obvious enough who Mirae had feelings for.
Se Joo ended up being so pathetic, I literally facepalmed in the scene where he asked Mirae to go to NY with him. Here I was thinking, “omg good, looks like he has some dignity, he said he wanted to speak first because he’ll leave and he doesn’t want to put her through the pain of rejecting him again”and then he’s like “so will you come with me’
I
can’t
I mean, how delusional can you get?"

" I don’t think anyone understood this drama. And I felt bad for YEH (whom I liked since Coffee Prince) and Lee Dong-gun (whom I liked since Sweet 18). Their talents were wasted by the wastrel plot. Of course, Yong-hwa got a good deal though….in that he improved his acting. Good for him."

"Also, if Ahjumma’s future is not Mirae’s future how the heck did she find the box Mirae buried???"

"I so agree. Their non-breakup breakup is a perfect example of everything wrong with this drama. It was the perfect time to end it for real this time, but the writer couldn’t cut the cord totally.
YK and Shin should have gotten together. I would have shipped it hard."
